“The latest addition to our AirForceOne range of shooting accessories is a rifle sling constructed of 18 metres of incredibly strong woven Paracord 550, originally used in the suspension lines of US parachutes during World War II. The 46” long sling is reversible in use for colour choice, the shooter can select either ‘Desert Storm’ Sand or ‘Olive Drab’ Green and the sling is terminated by a pair of high quality sling swivels” said Mike Hurney of The Shooting Party.

“Designed to be de-constructed in seconds, this Paracord rifle sling is a great tool to help you be prepared for an emergency survival situation. Parachute cord (also Paracord or 550 cord) is a lightweight nylon kermantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of US parachutes during World War II. Once in the field, paratroopers found this cord useful for many other tasks. It is now used as a general purpose utility cord by military personnel, Special Forces and civilians. This versatile cord was even used by astronauts during STS-82, the second Space Shuttle mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope

The braided sheath has a high number of interwoven strands for its size, giving it a relatively smooth texture. The all-nylon construction makes Paracord fairly elastic. Our Rifle Slings conform to the US Military Specification MIL-C-5040H Type III
